THE EULAMP PROJECT
EULAMP is derived from the acronym EU-LA’s, which refers to European citizens of Latin American origin (EU-Latin Americans).

The project sought to enhance the social, economic and civic participation of Latin Americans with an EU passport in the UK.
The initiative involved a pre-departure orientation programme in Portugal for EU Latin Americans wishing to exercise free movement in the UK, to equip them with a practical understanding of EU rights, access to services and other elements useful when moving to the UK, in addition to English language classes.
In the UK, partners have provided advice and information workshops on EU rights and Brexit, and one-stop-shop advice surgeries to connect new arrivals with any support they may need in the process of integration in the new country.
We have gathered lessons learned (below) through our experience and create briefings in multiple languages, with recommendations on better integration of mobile EU nationals in host countries. This builds on previous good practice accumulated through our Living Rights Project. The briefings will be presented through seminars in the UK, Portugal and Spain.
This project ran between February 2018 and January 2020. It was funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Commission. LCN led the project, in partnership with the EDUGEP (Portugal), Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organization (IRMO, UK), Lambeth Law Centre (UK) and Southwark Law Centre (UK).
